Jakhian, Edouard

Edouard Jakhian began is career as an attorney-at-law in 1958 in the law firm Janson Baugniet, where he was one of the three senior partners until 2004. Having resolved to reduce his professional activities, he is, since then, a senior consultant in the firm.

During his career, where he notably was appointed Chairman of the Brussels Bar, he mainly focused on competition law and criminal financial law.

Today he is still practising in the field of national and international arbitration, and still advises in cases where his experience and knowledge are needed.

He also dedicated himself to the European Convention of Human Rights in defending the Belgian Government's interests for about twenty years before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
