Jacques van Drooghenbroeck was admitted to the Nivelles Bar in 1981 and became a partner in Janson Baugniet in 2004. He contributes to the expanding of the Labour law department within the firm and gives the latter a regional connection in Nivelles, where he was Chairman of the Bar from 2001 to 2003. Since then, he has been pursuing his commitments to the Bar by playing an active role in commissions, conferences and seminars organised by the French and German speaking Bar Association of Belgium (Ordre des barreaux francophones et germanophone - O.B.F.G.).

Jacques van Drooghenbroek specialised in labour law, where he focuses on legal advice, conflict prevention, conciliation and arbitration, as well as litigation. He represents clients before any labour court, as well as criminal court (criminal labour law and criminal financial law).

He advises his clients in solving their individual and collective law issues (collective bargaining agreement, work regulations, union delegations, prevention of injuries at work, works council, social elections, etc.), as well as social security issues (social status of company directors, social security contributions, work accidents, etc.). He also assists clients in the labour law features of restructuring and share or asset deals.

Jacques van Drooghenbroeck frequently publishes papers about labour law topics and gives various lectures at the Université catholique de Louvain - U.C.L., among which social security law, health regulation at work, industrial medicine regulation. He regularly takes part to conferences and seminars and plays an active role in the various round table meetings "Actualités en droit social" (Topical subjects in labour law), organised by the Union des classes moyennes - U.C.M. (Federation of small firms and traders) and Brussels Enterprises Commerce and Industries - B.E.C.I. (formerly Chamber of Commerce of Brussels).

His practice as an attorney-at-law is also focused on medicine law and especially on legal issues arising in the hospital sector.
