Laurent Thiry (1990) obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Law (2011, cum laude) and his Master of Laws (2013, cum laude) from the Université catholique de Louvain. While studying for his Master's degree, he had the opportunity to work as an intern at the Court of Appeal of Mons.
He subsequently obtained an LL.M. in European Law at Leiden University (2014, cum laude), where he specialised in Competition Law. He wrote his thesis about “Competition law in the air transport sector”.
Admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2015, he joined Janson Baugniet the same year, in the Energy and Transport department.
He focuses mainly on energy law, administrative law and environmental law.
He is fluent in French and English and has a basic knowledge of Dutch.
