Laurent Thiry (1990) obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Law (2011, cum laude) and his Master of Laws (2013, cum laude) from the Université catholique de Louvain.
He subsequently obtained an LL.M. in European Law at Leiden University (2014, cum laude), where he specialised in Competition law. He wrote his thesis about “Competition law in the air transport sector”.
He is currently studying Competition and IP law at Université de Liège (2018-2019).
Admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2015, he joined Janson Baugniet the same year, in the Energy and Transport department.
He focuses mainly on European law, State Aid law and Energy law.
He speaks French, English and Dutch.
