Head of Janson’s Africa practice

Didier enjoys a stellar reputation in litigation and focuses his practice on dispute resolution in the fields of banking and finance, commercial and construction. He also heads Janson’s Africa practice.

  • Didier has over 30 years of experience and has an amazing track record in domestic and cross-border  litigation and arbitration.

    Throughout his career he gained extensive experience in banking and finance disputes, high stakes construction disputes and general commercial disputes. His exceptional expertise in judicial law is not only highly regarded and recognized by his clients but also by his peers.

    As head of the Africa practice, Didier oversees all matters regarding the firm’s contentious and non- contentious services throughout the continent.

    He practices in Dutch, French and English.

    • Representing a major American pharmaceuticals corporation in a high stakes post M&A dispute

    • Representing one of Belgium’s largest construction corporations in a liability dispute as result of a fire

    • Representing a building equipment manufacturer in a liability claim as a result of alleged defected equipment

    • Representing an food and beverage industrials manufacturer in a liability claim to alleged defective installed components in a food manufacturer’s plant

    • Representing a Belgian bank in various matters with respect to the termination of banking agents and anti-fraud related matters

    • Representing an asset manager in various proceedings related to savings plans such as life insurance

    • Representing a Belgian bank in a major banking dispute against a Congolese lender implying representation before the Brussels Courts as well as the Courts of Kinshasa

    • Defending a world leading electronics corporation in a bid rigging dispute

    • Defending a leading health care corporation in a VAT dispute on domestic and EU-level
