Privacy policy

Janson respects the privacy of the users of its website and makes every effort to ensure that your personal data are treated confidentially and securely, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016 (hereinafter GDPR) and Belgian law.

Data processed -  Janson only processes the data that you communicate to Janson via its website to apply for a job, collaboration or internship offer, to request the sending of newsletters, to register for an event or to ask questions.

Legal basis of the processing -  Such processing is based on your consent (Article 6.a of the GDPR).

Use of personal data -  Your personal data will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided them (applying for a job, collaboration or internship offer; requesting the sending of newsletters; registering for an event; asking questions).

Data transmission -  Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties unless ordered by a police or judicial authority or if Janson is obliged to do so by law.

Withdrawal of consent -  You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time by simply sending an email to privacy@janson.be.

Data retention period - Your personal data will only be kept as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which you have provided them and to comply with the legal obligations to which Janson is subject:

  • job application: 5 years, to be able to respond to any request or dispute;

  • application as a trainee or collaborator or for a student internship: 3 months after rejection of the application. If the application is selected for an interview and is later rejected, the data will be kept for 5 years from the rejection date, to be able to respond to any request or dispute;

  • asking a question: the time needed to answer you and follow up on your question (with a maximum retention period of 12 months);

  • newsletters’ request: 10 years unless you withdraw your consent before this deadline;

  • event registration: the time needed to organize and follow up on the event.

Data controller - Janson SRL/BV (Chaussée de La Hulpe 187 in 1170 Brussels) is responsible for the processing of the personal data that you communicate via its website or a link on this site.

Rights concerning the data -  You have the right to access, rectify or complete your personal data, to request their erasure (right to be forgotten) or to request the restriction of their processing under the conditions set out in Articles 15 to 18 of the GDPR. You also have the right to receive your personal data in a structured format in order to transmit them to another data controller (right to data portability) if you are in the conditions of Article 20 of the GDPR.

Exercise of rights -  Any request relating to the exercise of your rights should be sent by e-mail to privacy@janson.be. A copy of the front of your ID card may be requested in order to ensure that a third party is not trying to manipulate your data.

Complaint -  You also have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).


Cookie policy

The Janson website uses cookies. These are small files placed on the visitor's computer, mobile phone or tablet when visiting the website.

Essential cookies - The Janson website uses the "PHPSESSID" cookie, which is essential for establishing communication on the Internet and for providing the service requested by the website visitor (e.g. form). This cookie’s lifespan is limited to the duration of the user's session.

Functional cookies - With your consent, the Janson website uses the functional cookies "_ga", "_gid" and "_gat" from Google Analytics (web analytics service offered by Google Inc.).

These cookies enable us to analyse your use of the Janson website in order to improve its performance, in particular by identifying errors encountered by visitors (pages not displayed etc.). 

The lifespan of these cookies has been limited to 1 year for the "_ga" cookie, 24 hours for the "_gid" cookie and 10 minutes for the "_gat" cookie.

By default, Janson has anonymized the IP addresses sent to Google Analytics in order to protect your anonymity.

This information is stored by Google on servers located in the United States. Under EU law, Google may only provide the information to third parties if it is legally obliged to do so or if third parties process this data on Google's behalf.

During your visit to the Janson website, a banner informs you about the presence of cookies and allows you to give (or refuse) your consent for the use of functional cookies.

Cookie management via browser configuration - You can also configure your browser not to accept cookies. This change must be made for each browser and on each computer.
