Fryderyk focuses his practice on dispute resolution and on restructuring and insolvency proceedings. 

 
 

Fryderyk has a significant track record in both domestic and cross-border litigation and arbitration, particularly in the fields of heavy industries and commercial disputes. For over 10 years, Fryderyk has also developed an extensive experience in supreme court litigation.  

 On the other hand, Fryderyk is specialized in restructuring and insolvency proceedings. In this context, he assists his clients either by building adequate corporate structures tailored to their operational needs, or by securing their continuity through effective management of their liabilities.  His expertise in this area is particularly strong with regard to SMEs and start-ups which often need assistance navigating structural and financial challenges. Furthermore, Fryderyk regularly conducts seminars on insolvency proceedings, sharing his expertise with sector-specific federations and fiduciary professionals

    • Defending Belgium’s leading online printing group in multiple proceedings against one of its international competitors

    • Representing a Belgian quarrying group in a liability claim against a French international group arising from the annulment of an arbitration award

    • Representing an American metallurgy group in a CEPANI arbitration proceeding as a result of contractual breach claim

    • Representing several international funds before the brussels’ commercial court in international sanction matters

    • Representing various shareholders in the context of shareholder conflict proceedings

    Restructuring & Insolvency :

    • Representing one of the principal creditors of a significant International Hotel Group within the framework of a judicial reorganization procedure

    • Representing multiple SME’s in their judicial reorganization procedures

    • Assisting a fast-growing street-food chain in its development by optimizing its corporate structure

    • Assisting a Belgian coffee & pastry group in various matters including the acquisition of new subsidiaries and the restructuring of the whole group
