The Merck group has the Belgian State condemned

Our French-speaking IP/IT department (represented by Mireille Buydens and Charles Bernard) has successfully assisted and defended the German pharmaceutical and chemical group Merck in a patent dispute against the Belgian Intellectual Property Office (ORPI).

Mundiavocat 2022 – World Football Cup for Lawyers

Our IP associate Michiel Van Lerbeirghe participated with the Ghent lawyers football team in the "Mundiavocat 2022 – World Football Cup for Lawyers" in Marrakesh.

The team won the tournament and were crowned world champions, after winning the final against the bar of Marseille. The game ended 2-0, with Michiel scoring the decisive goal.

As the team already won the European Championship in Limerick back in 2019, the Ghent lawyers are currently the reigning European and world champions.

Janson wins the Brulex

We are extremely proud of our #BruLex football team who, only one year after entering into the competition, finished the season in #1 position in the second division (and therefore heading towards the first division next season).

Janson’s new member from Ukraine

Janson is proud to announce that it is hosting Ms Svitlana Khadzhynova, a Ukranian lawyer from the law firm Arzinger, for the next few months.
Arzinger is, as is Janson, an Interlaw member.
Svitlana will work in the Energy, Competition and Commercial Departments.

Janson members ran at the 20 km of Brussels

For the first time, Janson joined the Legal Run, joining many Brussels law firms that run every year to raise money for charity. This year, Legal Run was supporting Kickcancer.

Kickcancer has a mission to cure every child’s cancer, find new treatments, improve existing ones, and kick children’s cancer, sending it far, far away forever and may it never come back!
We want to make sure all children with cancer are cured, and better treatment is developed by supporting scientific research, removing obstacles and connecting people.
