Nino De Lathauwer

Nino is a partner in dispute resolution, handling complex corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration, class actions and other mass claims, as well as regulatory and white-collar crime investigations.

 
 

Nino De Lathauwer has over a decade of experience in complex corporate and commercial disputes, both litigation and arbitration, across a wide variety of sectors, including industrials, telecom, retail, financial services, private equity, consultancy, and med tech. Nino also has notable class action and other mass claims experience.

Additionally, he handles regulatory and white-collar crime investigations, and is licensed to practice Supreme Court litigation in criminal matters.

Nino is a member of the Dutch-speaking section of the Brussels Bar and has served on the Bar Council since 2023.

He speaks Dutch, French and English.

    • Advising a global car manufacturer on its defence against a class action and other mass claims brought on behalf of consumers, in coordination with other jurisdictions, as well as against related criminal action.

    • Advising a listed former global industrial company on its defence against shareholder claims post restructuring, as well as related regulatory action by the Financial Services and Markets Authority and related criminal investigations.

    • Advising an international manufacturer on the defense against follow-on damages claims in the context of a cartel finding.

    • Advising an international med tech company in relation to a post-restructuring claim.

    • Advising global healthcare companies on various product liability claims.

    • Advising an international retailer on regulatory investigations by various administrative authorities into compliance with European and national product regulations.

    • Advising a leading chemical company on a liability action brought by a transport company in relation to damaged tanks.

    • Advising a soccer club in relation to a licensing dispute in the context of the European Foreign Subsidies Regulation.
