Valentine has been a member of the Madrid Bar since 2011 and of the Brussels Bar since 2014. She joined JANSON on 1 July 2025.

She began her career in tax law in Madrid, where she practiced at Dechamps & Asociados, focusing on real estate law and inheritance and gift taxation in Spain. Upon returning to Brussels, she continued to develop her expertise in Belgian and cross-border tax law at MCW, Goethals-Geurts, and Hirsch & Vanhaelst.

Her practice today focuses on the structuring and transferring of private wealth, with a particular emphasis on civil and tax planning aspects (personal income tax, inheritance tax, registration duties, AML tax obligations, etc.).

Valentine regularly advises individuals, families, and private entities on wealth structuring and tax compliance, and represents clients in administrative and judicial tax disputes.

She is fluent in French, Dutch and Spanish.

    • Assisting families and individuals with estate planning, including cross-border structuring and coordination with banks and public authorities to ensure tax compliance and optimize asset structuring

    • Advising Belgian clients on the taxation of foreign assets and foreign clients with ties to Belgium

    • Advising on tax compliance obligations, regularisation procedures, and administrative formalities

    • Advising on the taxation of financial assets, including securities and foreign bank accounts

    • Advising foundations, associations, and hybrid structures on tax-related matters

    • Coordinating with legal and tax professionals, notaries, and registries in Belgium and Spain on cross-border matters

    • Personal and non-resident taxation

    • Corporate and legal entity taxation (including for non-residents)

    • Tax procedures and litigation

    • Inheritance tax and registration duties

    • Estate and wealth planning

    • Tax compliance and fiscal regularisation
